Video updates have been a little thin on the ground recently, not because we didn’t have anything shot, just because it takes a while to edit and sort them out. The drought is now over, I’ve just about finished enough to get us past Christmas and into the early new year. Nine new videos should do it, what do you reckon?
I’m back in the UK and starting to work on all of the stuff from tha last two weeks in prague. While I was away I did manage to get quite a lot of the stills sorted out and uploaded but working only on a lappy, it wasn’t really possible to do anything with the videos. So first thing this morning I set about video capturing. I’m finally happy with the quality I’m getting so here’s the clip in a bunch of different formats. The model seen here is Veronika, you’ll be seeing quite a bit more o this one, thats for sure.
Only the MP4s aren’t currently on the site, but soon will be. The rest represent sizes actually available right now.
I’m just about finished putting together this weeks newsletter mailout thing, but I’ve just had a thought. Maybe I should mention it here as its slightly unusual as all the samples this week are video clips rather than still images. Signup below and get 20 second clips from this weeeks movies. The clips are all .WMV format this time, so they’re the middle resolution offered on the site. .MOVs being 960×540 - Thats bigger than your telly! Hopefully I don’t need to add that your email address is safe here, you’ll only get mails from Simonscans, and we don’t share the info with anyone.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Shelbys second video is now the correct one, but Daphnes sets have gone missing. Keeping up with whats been shot, whats been used, and what number each set or video is can be a bit of performance. Not least because we never reach the end of the pile. As fast as the decks are nearly cleared a new pile of content appears and needs dealing with. The DVD burners run red hot, late into the night, most days at Simonscans mansions. Whats happened to Daphnes sets isn’t quite so clear, they were all On the site, but have just dissappeared. Not a trace in the database nor in any folders. Nevermind, we’ll dig out the DVDs on monday and re-upload. Maybe the fake tan police came around and decided she wasn’t up to code, being a little blotchy in places.
One of the things I’m constantly asked is who are all the models in the tour video. Well, here’s the answers:-

The video size is 320×240 which is now a lot smaller than the current outputs, which are usually 480×360 for mpeg, 640×480 for wmv and a stonking 960×540 for the new HIDEF mov formats movies. The video section is a bit of a jumble of sizes as we’re only about half way through re-outputing at the new larger sizes, but we’re getting there. Where possible all the old movies will be updated to the new sizes but ALL new videos will be at the new large sizes.
